TET or Teacher Eligibility Test is an important entrance examination for teachers in India. This exam will determine the qualification of the teachers who wish to secure a job post in government schools. The exam is mandatory for teachers who want to qualify as teachers for Class 1 to Class 8. The teacher eligibility test is conducted as compliance for the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. Mandatory Qualification

The teacher eligibility test is in accordance to the National Curriculum Framework and the candidate must score over 60% to qualify for a teaching position. The NCTE or National Council for Teacher Education is responsible for maintaining the guide and database for the government bodies that will hold the exams. The UPBEB or Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board holds the UPTET once a year. The schedule for 2018 is set on November 18 and the written test has two papers for primary level and junior level teachers.
